What does the test consist of?
The COVID PCR test is performed using a nasopharyngeal sample. If the test detects viral DNA, the result is positive. The PCR test determines whether the person currently has the virus and whether they can infect other people. Our result is obtained in less than 3 hours.
COVID-19 symptoms
The most common symptoms are fever, fatigue, and dry cough. Some patients may experience aches and pains, nasal congestion and/or runny nose, sore throat, or diarrhea. About 1 in 6 people who contract COVID-19 become seriously ill and develop difficulty breathing. Older people and those with underlying medical conditions such as hypertension, heart problems, or diabetes are more likely to develop severe symptoms.
When can you take the PCR COVID test?
If you have NO symptoms: it can be done from the 5th day after exposure risk. That is, from the fifth day after having been in contact with someone infected, the PCR result would be reliable.
If you have symptoms: when purchasing the test, you must contact us so we can send a self-sampling kit to your home. It is important that you do not travel and stay at home. If symptoms are severe or you experience shortness of breath, please call emergency services directly (112 or 061).
